The book was directed by the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, Vietnam News Agency, compiled and published by the News Agency Publishing House.
This is the first photo book about 100 years of Vietnamese revolutionary journalism, condensing more than 1,000 rare photos and documents carefully exploited and selected from many sources at home and abroad. The sources include the Photo Editorial Board and the Center for Documentary Information - Graphics (Vietnam News Agency), the Vietnam Press Museum, the Center for Journalism Training (Vietnam Journalists Association), the Hanoi History Museum, Nhan Dan Newspaper, Communist Magazine, Voice of Vietnam Radio and many other agencies and individuals.

Speaking at the ceremony, Director and Editor-in-Chief of the News Publishing House, journalist Phung Thi My, said that the preparation for the book had lasted for more than a year. To carry it out, the News Publishing House mobilized the participation of not only the editorial team within the agency, but also researchers, photojournalists, veteran journalists, and collectors across the country.
"The book is a deep gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh - the great revolutionary journalist, founder of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Journalism and generations of Vietnamese revolutionary journalists, especially the journalists and martyrs who fell so that the revolutionary journalism could develop brilliantly as it is today; at the same time, this is the belief, pride, encouragement and motivation for young journalists today and tomorrow to firmly walk on the path of accompanying the nation" - journalist Phung Thi My said.

Speaking at the ceremony, Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission and President of the Vietnam Journalists Association Le Quoc Minh highly appreciated the documentary value of the book, especially on the occasion of the great anniversary - 100 years of Vietnam's revolutionary journalism.
Mr. Le Quoc Minh shared: "Looking at the book, we can systematically see the 100-year development journey of Vietnam's revolutionary press. The book is compiled in two languages, not only helping Vietnamese people better understand the history of the country's press but also vividly introducing to international friends this proud development journey."

The articles, images and documents in the book are presented in a general chronological order, reflecting the formation, development and growth of the Vietnamese revolutionary press, associated with each revolutionary stage of the Party and the nation: From the period of revolutionary movements, fighting for power, through two resistance wars against France and the US; carrying out the work of building and defending the country; serving the cause of comprehensive renovation, bringing the country into a new era. The book depicts the historical milestones, the achievements and silent sacrifices of the team of Vietnamese revolutionary journalists over the past century.
Thereby, it is affirmed that, through the revolutionary stages, the press not only fulfilled its task of providing information, promptly and vividly reflecting the country's reality, but also made an important contribution to ideological education, orienting public opinion, fighting against and preventing false and hostile arguments, and raising political awareness among the people.

The book is printed in 4 colors, bilingual in Vietnamese and English, and includes 6 parts: Vietnamese revolutionary press in the period 1925-1945: Propaganda, enlightenment, agitation, gathering, and organizing forces to fight for independence and freedom; Vietnamese revolutionary press in the period 1945-1954: Serving the task of resistance and nation building; Vietnamese revolutionary press in the period 1954-1975: Serving the cause of building and defending the socialist North, supporting the South, and unifying the country; Vietnamese revolutionary press in the period 1975-1986: With the task of building and defending the country; Vietnamese revolutionary press in the period 1986-2000: Serving the cause of comprehensive national renewal; Vietnam's revolutionary press in the period 2001-2025: Serving the cause of industrialization and modernization, creating the premise to bring the country into a new era - the era of national advancement../.
