Improve knowledge and skills for women

The project is implemented with the general goal of improving women's knowledge, skills and practices; promoting women's proactive role in responding to and participating in effectively solving a number of social issues related to women, in order to minimize negative impacts; improving women's quality of life. Therefore, every year, all levels of the association organize thematic activities with many diverse and rich forms.

The Women's Union of Ninh Tay commune, Ninh Hoa town handed over the "Warm House of Love" house to a poor woman's family.

In recent times, women's associations at all levels in Ninh Hoa town have organized training and propaganda classes on gender equality, family marriage, domestic violence prevention; shared knowledge on protecting women and children, health care, good parenting skills, crime prevention in the new situation, drowning prevention, escape skills in case of fire, food hygiene and safety, safety in cyberspace..., attracting 40,730 women to participate. At the same time, promote propaganda through digital platforms; maintain the operation of 27 fanpages, 176 Zalo groups to regularly update information, visually illustrate with videos, vivid and attractive images. In addition, improve the effectiveness of 6 clubs "Parents educate and raise children well", "Women with the law", "Women with food hygiene and safety"; 31 clubs "Building happy families"; 18 branches of "Building families with 5 no's and 3 clean's to contribute to building new rural areas", 5 branches of "Building families with 5 yes's and 3 clean's". In communes and wards, 27 hotlines and 186 trusted addresses were established to receive and support victims of domestic violence; closely follow the population situation, promptly detect and reconcile conflicts and disagreements in families. All levels of the association mobilized to award 3,290 scholarships to children; 604 means of livelihood; built 81 new "Shelters of Love" houses; repaired 104 houses for women in difficult circumstances; sponsored 88 orphans... According to Ms. Huynh Thi Ngoc Diem - Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Ninh Hoa town, through diversifying communication activities and implementing specific and practical activities in implementing Project 938, it has attracted the attention of a large number of members. Thereby, improving the capacity and life skills of women and children and contributing to promoting local socio -economic development.

Over 8 years of implementing the project, all levels of the association and departments and branches in the province have made efforts to organize activities and achieved positive results. Up to now, 6/6 objectives of the project have been achieved and exceeded the set plan. In particular, propaganda has been carried out, providing knowledge to 275,500 members, women, parents with children under 16 years old; providing knowledge and skills to prevent and combat gender-based violence and domestic violence to 73,000 women; 100% of the association levels have promptly spoken out about serious cases of abuse and violence against women and children when they occur; 132/132 communes, wards and towns have at least 1 model of mobilizing and supporting women to participate in solving and monitoring a number of social issues... In implementing the project's tasks, the association levels have carried out many social security activities with a total value of nearly 40 billion VND; Organized 4,380 training, communication and legal propaganda classes for more than 140,000 cadres, members and women with many practical contents, close to real needs. In addition, coordinated to organize free health check-up programs; seminars on food safety, nutrition..., attracting a large number of members to participate.

Ms. Nguyen Hoang Van Ha - Vice President of the Provincial Women's Union said that, implementing Project 938, over the past time, the unions at all levels have been flexible and proactive in integrating the implementation into the implementation of emulation movements, campaigns, and programs of the union. Up to now, the contents and targets of the project have ensured progress according to the set plan. Thereby, creating a positive change in awareness; gradually changing the attitudes, behaviors, thinking, and ways of doing of women and people; proactively speaking up when experiencing violence, actively participating in social activities... Thereby, contributing to improving and building a healthy, equal, and safe society for women and children.
